GAME JAM AND GAME AWARDS ARCADE | SCHICK

To highlight Schick’s continued commitment to and support of gamer culture, we created and hosted a 48 hour game jam event in NYC, for 20 indie game designers. Four original video games were created, which were then playable at a custom pop-up arcade in the lobby of Microsoft Theater during The Game Awards in Los Angeles., where Schick sponsored the inaugural “Best Debut Indie Game" award. To develop the game jam, I reached out to the NYC gaming community, specifically to Playcrafting, who had never done a brand-sponsored jam. Not only was the experience beneficial for the client, it was also a great success for Playcrafting and has led to many more brand collaborations and an entirely new revenue stream for them.
